Flashlight is an open platform for Spotlight, which allows developers to write plugins that extend OS X's built-in search with new features. Here are some of our favorites:
Add events to your calendar.
Translate text between English, Arabic, Spanish, Hindi, Chinese, French and German.
Send email. Optionally attach selected files from Finder.
Eject mounted volumes (physical and network)
